Terms of Service

The short version: pay for the plan you use, keep your account secure, use the service lawfully, and your data always remains yours.

1. The agreement

These terms are a contract between YardHub and the business or individual that creates an account ("you"). By creating an account or using the service you accept these terms.

2. The service

YardHub is cloud-based yard and stable management software, provided on a subscription basis. We aim for continuous availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service; planned maintenance will be notified in advance where practical.

3. Accounts and security

  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the information in your account and for keeping login credentials confidential.
  • You control who you invite to your yard and what permissions they hold. Actions taken by invited users are your responsibility.
  • Tell us immediately at info@yardhub.co.za if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Plans, trials and billing

  • Free trials run for 30 days with no payment details required. At the end of a trial you may choose a paid plan; otherwise the account is suspended and deleted after 60 days.
  • Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance. Prices exclude VAT.
  • You may upgrade at any time (effective immediately, pro-rated) or downgrade from your next billing date.
  • You may cancel at any time; the service remains available until the end of the paid period. We do not offer refunds for partial periods except where required by law.

5. Your data

  • You own the records you create in YardHub. We claim no rights over them beyond what is needed to operate the service.
  • You can export your data at any time. After cancellation we retain it for 60 days, then delete it from live systems.
  • Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service. This includes attempting to breach its security, uploading unlawful content, infringing others' rights, reselling access without our agreement, or using the service to send spam. We may suspend accounts that put the service or other customers at risk, and will tell you why.

7. Important limitations

  • YardHub is a record-keeping and organisation tool. It does not provide veterinary advice, and reminders depend on the accuracy of the information your yard enters. Responsibility for animal welfare decisions remains with you and your professionals.
  • To the extent permitted by law, our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, or any rights you may have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008.

8. Changes to the service or terms

We improve the service continuously and may add, change or retire features. If we make material changes to these terms we will give at least 30 days' notice by email. Continued use after the notice period means you accept the updated terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
